Willow360 V2.1 introduces a powerful new way for workflows to understand documents.
WIllow360 can now read documents, answer questions about them, and use those answers to decide which actions should run.

Let Your Documents Tell You What You Need to Know
Every document already contains important information, like:
Invoice numbers.
Totals.
Names.
Dates.
Signatures.
Document types.
Summaries.
Context.
With AI Action, your workflow can ask questions about the document and store the answers as structured data
You define:
- A field name
- A question or information request written in normal language
- A data type such as Text, Number, Date, Email or Yes/No
The system reads the document using OCR combined with AI-based understanding and provides the answer
That answer becomes metadata your workflow can use.
No rigid templates required.
No fixed layouts required.
Just clear questions and clear answers.
🎯 Smarter Decisions Inside Your Workflow
In Willow360, conditions are configured inside actions.
If the condition is true, the action runs.
If the condition is not true, the action is skipped and the file continues to the next step.
AI Action makes those conditions far more powerful.
For example:
If the Total Amount is greater than £1,000, the Approve action can be set to run.
If the Total Amount is £1,000 or less, the Approve action is skipped
If the question "Has this document been signed?" equals No, the signing action runs.
If Signed equals Yes, the signing action is skipped
If Document Type equals Invoice, invoice-related actions can run.
If it equals Receipt, those actions can be skipped
This reduces manual checking and ensures decisions are applied consistently.

During testing, one particularly powerful use case emerged:
“Provide a short description of this file that could be used as a filename.”
Set the data type to Text.
Then use that result in the Rename action.
